Mumbai June 27 (IANS) Actress Chetna Pande has opened up about the emotional turmoil she had to go through post her participation in television reality shows.
The actress revealed that the intense public scrutiny and online trolling after appearing on reality shows left her mentally disturbed and emotionally broken.
Speaking about that phase of her life, Chetna admitted to IANS that dealing with negativity wasn’t easy.
‘It definitely affected me emotionally. After the reality show, I felt very broken. The trolling and negative narratives hurt me,’ she shared.
The actress further said that the difficult period ultimately helped her become stronger.
‘But I also believe that the experiences that break you often become the experiences that strengthen you the most.’
Chetna further revealed that while she was going through that emotionally challenging phase, she was simultaneously shooting for her latest film, ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’.
The actress stated how instead of letting the negativity consume her, she decided to channel those emotions into her performance.
‘Instead of allowing those emotions to destroy me, I decided to channel them into my work. I transformed my lowest moments into my greatest strength. Today, audiences are appreciating the film and loving Sunheri’s character. For me, that appreciation feels like a personal victory,’ she said.
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the movie marks Chetna’s debut as a leading lady in Bollywood opposite Mimoh Chakraborty.
Calling it a dream come true, she said, ‘This is my first film as a leading actress. Seeing myself on posters and carrying a strong story was always a dream.’
Expressing gratitude to the audience, Chetna thanked viewers for embracing the film and her performance.
‘I would simply like to say thank you. The love and support audiences have shown this film mean everything to me. Their encouragement has helped the film achieve success, and for me personally, this project represents an important milestone. It is my first major step in the film industry, and I am deeply grateful for all the appreciation. Please continue giving your love and support. There are many exciting things ahead, and I cannot wait to share them with everyone.’
