Music composer G.V. Prakash Kumar has received his second National Film Award, and congratulations are pouring in from across the film industry. Among those who shared their joy was A.R. Rahman, the Oscar-winning composer and uncle of G.V. Prakash. Well-known filmmaker Sudha Kongara also extended her warm wishes.
Another National Honour for ‘Vaathi’
G.V. Prakash won the Best Music Direction (Songs) award for the bilingual film ‘Vaathi’ (also made in Telugu). After hearing the news on Wednesday, Prakash shared his feelings on social media platform X, calling the award “a blessing for the second time”.
Notably, G.V. Prakash had earlier won his first National Award for his music in ‘Soorarai Pottru’, which was directed by Sudha Kongara.
Uncle and Mentor A.R. Rahman Shares His Wishes
Responding to Prakash’s post, A.R. Rahman wrote,
