New Delhi, Sep 17 — BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Thursday wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday and said that under his leadership, the country is moving forward on the path of development and self-reliance, while also advancing on the international stage.
PM Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in Gujarat's Vadnagar. He has served as the Prime Minister since May 26, 2014 -- currently in his third term. He is the longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister of the country. He is the Member of Parliament from Varanasi.
Taking to X, Nabin said, "Heartfelt birthday wishes to the esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the synonym of national service and dedication, the leader of 140 crore fellow countrymen."
"With the resolve of 'Nation First', your journey has been an inspiring saga of service, good governance, and public welfare. This journey is not of any one individual, but also of the collective dream of the countrymen, which you have given direction through your actions and penance," he said.
"Under your guidance, India is forging new dimensions of development and self-reliance and is continuously advancing on the global stage with its new identity and strength," the BJP chief said.
"I pray to God that He grants you excellent health, long life, and the continuous strength for national service," Nabin added.
Meanwhile, Nabin will undertake a two-day visit to Indore and Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, starting Thursday and will participate in the 'Aashirvad Ka Diya' (Aashirwad Ka Diya, Pradhansevak ke Naam) campaign launched by the party to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.
The visit comes amid BJP's preparations to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's completion of 25 years in public service and his birthday under the party's nationwide 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'. The 'Swamitva Scheme' event in Indore is one of the key highlights of his visit to the state.
Nabin will also light 'Aashirvad Ka Diya' at Ujjain's Ram Ghat, leading the celebrations to mark Prime Minister Modi's birthday and kick off celebrations of his 25 years of public service.
As part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', the BJP chief will light the 'Aashirvad Ka Diya' at the banks of the Shipra River, amid a large-scale devotional programme.
