Delhi CM Rekha Gupta performs Ganga Arti in Varanasi

Varanasi, July 18 — Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday participated in Ganga Aarti from a cruise and performed prayers and rituals for Maa Ganga in the holy city of Varanasi.

Earlier, the Delhi Chief Minister received a grand welcome from BJP leaders at Varanasi airport.

In a message on X, she said, “Heartfelt thanks from the depths of my heart to the BJP family members for the warm welcome and affection at Varanasi Airport.”

“Baba Shri Kashi Vishwanath's sacred city of Kashi, being the capital of the Sanatan faith, has emerged as a powerful symbol of the remarkable confluence of India's cultural consciousness, glorious heritage, and development under the visionary leadership of the esteemed Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji. May Baba Vishwanath's blessings remain upon all,” she said.

During the day, while travelling to Mirzapur, she was received by party workers along the route.

The Delhi Chief Minister took note of the affection shown by the party workers and said on X, “Heartfelt thanks to all of you for the warm welcome, affection, and sense of belonging extended by the esteemed colleagues of the Bharatiya Janata Party along the route during the journey from Varanasi to Mirzapur. Your affection infuses the resolve to serve the public with even greater energy and inspiration. Jai Maa Vindhyavasini, Har Har Mahadev.”

At Mirzapur, Rekha Gupta visited a temple. She said on X, “At the Maa Vindhyavasini Dham located in Mirzapur, proper worship and ritual were performed at the sacred feet of Maa, praying for the happiness, prosperity, excellent health, and auspicious lives of all.”

“This sacred abode of the world's mother, Maa Vindhyavasini, has been a divine centre of faith, power, and unwavering devotion since time immemorial. May Maa's grace always remain upon everyone,” she said.

The temple management committee also presented her with a painting of the deity, and she thanked them for the gesture.
