Gujarat Minister invites Rajasthan CM, Dy CM to Vibrant Summit 2027

Jaipur, Oct 23 — The Gujarat government has invited Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari to attend the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027, as the state steps up its efforts to attract investors and strengthen business partnerships ahead of the three-day event in January.

Gujarat Labour, Skill Development and Employment, and Rural Development Minister, Kunvarji Bavaliya, along with Shalini Agarwal, managing director of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), met the two Rajasthan leaders in Jaipur on Friday and formally invited them to participate in the summit.

The 11th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit will be held from January 10 to 12, 2027, at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

The event is expected to bring together investors, industrialists, policymakers and representatives from different sectors to discuss investment opportunities, industrial development, innovation and international cooperation.

The invitation comes amid Gujarat’s wider outreach to domestic and international business communities ahead of the summit.

The state government has planned investment outreach across 22 countries and roadshows in eight Indian cities during October and November to engage prospective investors and explore partnerships.

The summit, themed “Viksit Gujarat – Shaping Global Future”, is intended to promote investment while also focusing on technology, advanced manufacturing, innovation and sustainable growth.

Its priority sectors include semiconductors and electronics, artificial intelligence, data centres, aerospace and defence, biotechnology and green energy.

The Vibrant Gujarat initiative was launched in 2003, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was chief minister of Gujarat.

Over successive editions, it has developed into a platform for businesses, governments and investors to explore commercial partnerships and discuss the state’s industrial development.

The Gujarat delegation’s visit to Jaipur is also aimed at building on the economic and cultural links between the neighbouring states.

Cooperation in investment, trade, industrial growth and skill development could provide avenues for businesses in both states to work together.

The summit will be held at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, with the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show scheduled to be inaugurated at the Helipad Exhibition Centre on January 9, a day before the summit opens.
