Bengaluru, Aug 29 — A 35‑year‑old man has been arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly entering a paying guest accommodation in Koramangala and arranging a 25‑year‑old woman’s sanitary pads and undergarments in a vulgar manner.
CCTV footage reportedly captured his actions, showing him appearing to derive satisfaction from the act, police said on Saturday.
Police identified the accused as Giriraj D. The footage showed him entering the premises, handling and arranging the woman’s personal belongings, including sanitary pads and undergarments, inappropriately, before leaving.
The incident was reported at Zolo Hazel PG in Koramangala’s 6th Block. According to the complaint, the resident noticed her belongings had been disturbed and approached the police.
Investigators examined CCTV footage installed at the PG, which allegedly confirmed the accused’s actions. Police also reviewed footage from the surrounding area to establish his movements.
Case records show Giriraj was residing in the same PG. Police suspect he entered the premises at around 6.50 a.m. and handled the belongings before leaving.
The complaint was lodged on August 25, and the case was registered at around 1 a.m. on August 26. Police said further legal proceedings have been initiated after his arrest, and the investigation is underway.
