Ujjain, Aug 28 — Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday said that the teachings and blessings of saints should inspire people to work for the welfare of society and uphold the spirit of universal well-being in their daily lives.
Yadav made the remarks while visiting Sant Shri Nijanand Dham Ashram at Chirola Fanta in Khachrod, Ujjain, on Raksha Bandhan. He offered prayers and paid floral tributes on the death anniversary of Shri Shri 1008 Sachidanand Maharaj.
“Visiting Sant Shri Nijanand Ashram and worshipping here was a profound experience. This place reflects the divine aura of great saints who have enriched the spiritual and cultural tradition of the country, Madhya Pradesh and the Malwa region,” Yadav said.
He said Swami Sachidanand Ji Maharaj, successor to Sant Shri Nijanand Ji Maharaj, had infused the ashram with spiritual consciousness, which had also influenced the surrounding region.
“The blessings of great saints inspire everyone to undertake noble deeds. We should follow the Vedic ideal of ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah’ and work for the welfare of all while fulfilling our daily responsibilities,” the Chief Minister said.
During his visit, Yadav performed Rudrabhishek and Shodashopchar worship at the Shiva temple and offered prayers and Aarti at the Gadi of Sant Shri Nijanand Ji Maharaj.
He also paid obeisance to the saints present at the ashram and partook of Prasadi. The Shri Nijanand Dham Seva Samiti welcomed and felicitated Yadav. He also met Vivek Maharaj Ji, a disciple of Sachidanand Ji Maharaj.
Earlier, at the Khachrod helipad, Maya Titaliya and Manisha Akhilesh Sharma from Nagda tied Rakhi on the Chief Minister and extended their greetings. Sisters associated with the Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Prajapita University also visited Yadav’s residence and tied Rakhi.
They presented him with a card carrying a message on the power of resolute thoughts and invited him as chief guest to a Mind-Body Medicine seminar to be held from September 18 to 20 at the Brahma Kumaris headquarters in Mount Abu.
Nagda-Khachrod MLA Tej Bahadur Singh Chauhan, Ujjain Development Authority Chairman Ravi Solanki and other public representatives and officials were also present.
