PM Modi Invites Public to Share Ideas for Independence Day Speech

As India gets ready to celebrate its 78th Independence Day on August 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again asked citizens to send their thoughts, topics, and suggestions for his annual speech from Red Fort.

In a message shared on social media, PM Modi encouraged people from across the country to take part in shaping what he will say in his Independence Day address. This shows his continued effort to involve common citizens in important national moments.

PM Modi wrote on his official X (formerly Twitter) account:

“As we approach this year’s Independence Day, I look forward to hearing from my fellow Indians! What themes or ideas would you like to see reflected in this year’s Independence Day speech? Share your thoughts on the Open Forums on MyGov and the NaMo App…”

Every year, the Prime Minister makes this open call for ideas. This has become a regular part of the Independence Day tradition since he became PM, showing his commitment to people-first governance.

According to our team at Jan Jagran Darpan, PM Modi often includes ideas and suggestions from the public in his speeches. He highlights positive stories from villages, successes by young Indians, start-up ideas, and suggestions that show the real concerns of citizens.

The MyGov portal, launched in 2014, has become a popular way for people to interact with the government. The NaMo App, which is the Prime Minister’s official app, also allows people to directly connect with government campaigns and share their views.

As the nation prepares to complete 79 years of freedom, this year’s Independence Day is likely to focus on national unity, digital growth, and plans for the future as India gets ready to celebrate its 80th year of independence in 2026.

People from all parts of the country are invited to go to the MyGov website or use the NaMo App to submit their ideas. If selected, these suggestions may be included in the Prime Minister’s Red Fort speech—giving ordinary Indians a chance to be part of a national moment.
